Is it that you feel broken from your personal disasters and the developed electric life, that the lack of “ertragen” leads you to that special department with the white rooms?

Indeed, this is the fatal history of a young woman told on the CD “drehtür”. Unable to cope with family expectations, society demands and her own idealism, her courage was deterred.

But before you rush a panic buy, you have the possibility to listen to and download all tracks in CD quality now.

Here is the final version with greetings from the broken ones.

All new tracks will be available for free download in 2009 and will be found on our homepage, an artwork booklet will be included in the limited cd-box “drehtür” only, which you will get at our performances. But this is only the unwritten-future-stuff…meanwhile get yourself a gin tonic (or two) and enjoy our tracks we released so far.

“The music is already perfect – now we are looking for the ultimate sound”, says Krrt when asked why Broken Windows is going to the studios.

In early December Broken Windows is going to record the first studio album under the working title of “The internet must be shut down completely due to some misleading information in a few minor issues”.

They

hope to capture more enraged, disranged, artistically riskier music, that kind of material they sometimes generate during rehearsals but they are afraid to perform live to not acoustically hurt their audiences too hard. “It does make sense to do a studio record given the fact we are an improvision ensemble”, Siggi adds.

Improvision is the fundamental frequency of their music. Special attention will be paid to the studio schedule. Broken Windows will not use the traditional overdub technique but develop recording practices of their own.

They expect the studio will become a “sonic particle accelerator, creating musical anti-matter at best.” These expectations are not far off, as the pieces to be recorded are centered around “death, doom, drone, dark, thrash, gothic, grind, sludge, and whatever kinds of metal and core happened to enter our hungry ears when we were young and idealistic”, Class explains.

The Broken Project absolved his first open air action!

We shared the stage with a group of poetry slammers and

performed our well-done anti-happiness tracks when the rain started.

So nice to play on a large stage with enough space to move and jump around.

Only Siggi was sitting behind his electric triangle all the time.

We say THX! to all the technical crew members, the officials, helping hands.
